Australian-trained makeup artist and writer Rachel Katz took a leap of faith and came to America not knowing a soul. When Rachel first arrived in the US, some of the greats supported her extraordinary talents in makeup artistry, including Dick Smith-The Hunger, Michael Westmore-StarTrek, and Amalgamated-Aliens. Rachel’s talent, passion, and sheer determination have enabled her to join Local 706, raise a family, write, and become a United States Citizen. Rachel has a twenty-year background in film & television industries spanning the globe, including Australia, UK, Denver, and Los Angeles. Her passion is working on strong character-driven stories, running with her German Sheppard husky, and exploring the California Coast, carrying on her adventurous spirit from Australia.
