After her fiancé’s tragic death, a grieving aspiring artist enrolls in an experimental depression study, only to discover the drugs transport her to a supernatural realm where he’s still alive — but as the corporation secretly experiments on her body in the real world, she must choose between exposing the truth and losing him forever.

SUMMARY: SARAH, a struggling painter, becomes engaged to JONATHAN, the man of her dreams. But before she can walk down the aisle, Jonathan dies in a tragic accident. Racked by soul-crushing depression, Sarah signs up for an experimental drug trial. However, the drugs meant to cure her propel her into another world where she reunites with Jonathan. Doctors prescribe radical new treatments to counteract Sarah's hallucinations. Sarah realizes these treatments are altering her in frightening ways. Terrified for her life, she tries to escape, but her nurse has become her warden.

Rachel Katz is a creative professional with over twenty years of experience worldwide, including Perth, London, and  Los Angeles. Rachel was born in the UK, raised in Australia, and New Zealand. Trained in Art & Design and Makeup Artistry in Australia, she built an international career bringing complex characters to life, collaborating with filmmakers in film, television, theater, commercials, and documentary.

Her work has been critiqued by legendary makeup artists Dick Smith (The Godfather), Michael Westmore (Star Trek), and Tom Woodruff, Jr. (Alien), which has grounded her creative sensibility in character, transformation, and visual storytelling.

Rachel’s deep understanding of character psychology and cinematic narrative ultimately led her to writing. Drawing on both her professional background and profound personal experiences, she wrote PERFECT ANGEL, a supernatural thriller that blends suspense, emotional depth, and immersive visual worlds, a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption. The script was developed during a period in which she supported her son through multiple major surgeries—an experience that shaped her voice and strengthened her commitment to character-driven storytelling.
